The Granta Harriers registered country falls mainly in the fenlands of north Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. We hunt by kind invitation of surrounding foxhound packs and hunt in Cambridgeshire and parts of Hertfordshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Essex, Suffolk and Bedfordshire. |
| History: |
The Granta Harriers were set up in 1997 by a group of local farmers and old Cambridgeshire Harriers subscribers. The intention of its formation was to enable the continuation of hare hunting in East Anglia and to keep the old Cambridgeshire Harrier hound bloodlines going following the disbandment of the Cambridgeshire Harriers after Mrs Gingells death. Our registered hunt country goes from Sleaford in Lincolnshire across to Kings Lynn. However other local packs allow us to meet within their country by permission for which we are very grateful. |
|
We are a friendly sociable pack who welcomes followers of all ages. Harrier hounds keep on the go all day but followers can choose to go at their own pace. We will be holding riding and pony club days as well as newcomer’s days so watch out for these as well as our numerous social events. We look forward to meeting you during the coming season for an enjoyable days hunting within the law. For further information about hunting and social events please feel free to contact us either via our Facebook page or email sarah504@btinternet.com |
